Week 11 – The Golden City
It never ceases to amaze me when challenges arise, the natural reaction is to worry and wonder how to solve the predicament. When I’ve stepped back from the situation and let go the solution materialises and it is as if the situation never existed. The universe certainly works in mysterious ways.
So the quote for our sit this week “Whatsoever things ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them and ye shall have them” was uppermost in my mind.
As I focused on this quote, I visualised the universe as one almighty catalogue or the golden city awaiting recipients to choose their heart’s desire. We are surrounded by abundance, however to tap into our riches is to have faith and belief to connect to what is already awaiting us. This is my perception of the above.
I thought of the exercises No TV, the mental diet, the sits etc … as the tools required to clear the channel to gain direct access, in other words bypassing the Watchman at the Gate, chipping away at the cement for the golden Buddha within us. Personally I have noted the increase in synchronicity, the signposts that I am on the right path, the effortless flow of assistance appearing to nullify the challenges and proof that parts of my DMP are already taking form.
I’m also drawn to this paragraph in Scroll III “Henceforth, I will consider each day’s efforts as but one blow of my blade against a mighty oak. The first blow may cause not a tremor in the wood, nor the second, nor the third. Each blow, of itself, may be trifling, and seem of no consequence. Yet from childish swipes the oak will eventually tumble. So it will be with my efforts today”
To be honest although at times I have struggled with some of the exercises, particularly with the challenges I have been facing of late. However, when I read the above and consider every little step, every trifling blow that I strike, which may initially seem I am not making headway. The proof I have witnessed in respect to the unexpected assistance I have received when most needed, illustrates that indeed I am making progress, this gives me faith, belief and the persistence that I will succeed – I know that the golden city of abundance is awaiting us all.
